The year that was

2009.
What can we say about it? Lots of activitiese were done, that's for sure!!

There were 3 MAIN CPUS ACTIVITIES that was done in this year. This count, of course isn't too accurate. I can't really say that I'd remember what other smaller, yet fun activities that were done by the Pre-U students throughout this year.

Anyways... Back to the topic. 3 main things were done by CPUS - both students and teachers participated in it - within the span of 11 months (The students went for their academic break in December).

They were:
1) 'Love = Tangent 90 degrees' Play
2) Malam Kebudayaan Melayu or MKM (Malay Cultural Night)
3) Pre - U Charity day

The play known as Love = Tangent 90 degrees was shown to many students of the college and some of the other department's lecturers (even the college's CEO)on the 26th of Febrary 2009 to much applause and well accepted criticism.
Written and produced by our (jeng jeng jeng)own Miss Hema of Academic English/English Literature subject, the play basically revolves around 2 characters and how love is defined in each of them. The play was divided into 2 parts, each depicting the character's definition. A good and funny play, yet resounding as it mirrors what the audience think about love themselves.

Oh miss Hema!!!

Below are some of the behind the scenes pictures :)

O O... Where's Mr Oo?

I can explain this.... Actually, I can't.

But of course, enough of the behind the scenes and so forth. Where are the 'real' ones?

GO!!!

Sure, the play was the main activity/play of CPUS that year. But it didn't mean that we made only one play :P
There were a few more, all done in Academic English. The plays included Romeo and Juliet, Sweeney Todd,
Merchant of Venice and Just My Lady. These plays were done on a smaller scale though.
Well, with that, today's post will end. The next post will be on the other 2 main activites - MKM and Charity, so stay 'tuned'!! :)
